Job Description

We’re looking for a Garden Generalist to join our Nursery & Display Gardens team and help create a welcoming, beautiful experience for every guest, from the garden paths to the Gift Shop checkout counter.

In this role, you will:

Provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance to guests selecting plants, garden supplies, and gift shop items

Serve as the main cashier, processing transactions accurately and efficiently through our POS system

Share product knowledge, seasonal promotions, and basic gardening advice with enthusiasm

Maintain an inviting, organized, and well-stocked Gift Shop environment

Restock and creatively merchandise retail displays

Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs

Maintain assigned nursery sections through watering, pruning, deadheading, fertilizing, and weeding

Assist with unloading, tagging, and restocking plant deliveries

Support special events, festivals, and peak seasonal sales days

We’re looking for someone who:

Enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions

Can frequently lift 25–40 lbs

Has a warm, welcoming personality and strong customer service instincts

Pays close attention to detail and handles transactions accurately

Is proactive and willing to jump in wherever needed

Thrives in a fast-paced, seasonal environment

Loves plants (and doesn’t mind getting a little dirt under their nails)

Has weekday and/or weekend availability
