The Garage Technician (Factory) is responsible for maintaining and preparing the garage and equipment for ready for race events. This includes ensuring that all tools and equipment are in optimal condition. The role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Ensure, all tools and garage equipment are organized and in optimal condition. Always maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the garage.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair tools and equipment used by the race team. Ensure all equipment meets safety and performance standards.
• Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained. Order and restock items as necessary.
• Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed in the garage. Conduct regular safety checks and report any hazards or issues to the Team Logistic or Chief Mechanic.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inventory. Document any issues or incidents that occur during race events.
• Work closely with the mechanics and other team members to ensure smooth operations in the garage. Provide assistance and support as needed to ensure the success of the race team.

What do you need to bring to the team?

• Technical certification or diploma in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, such as a Level 3 National Vocational Qualification (NVQ)or a BTEC National Certificate/Diploma in Vehicle Technology or Engineering
• Experience in a high-level motorsport or automotive environment, preferably within Formula 1®
• Strong technical knowledge of automotive tools and equipment
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
