Gameplay Developer (World of Tanks)

Job Overview

We are growing our Prague-based WoT development team, and we’re looking for a Game Developer to work on new and exciting features for our groundbreaking MMO title World of Tanks, which has over 100 million players worldwide.
As a Game Developer, you’ll work closely with the other client-server developers and will be responsible for implementing, debugging, and refining core gameplay features. We will expect you to take technical responsibility for smaller parts of the game or specific components.
To be successful, you will need to be a generalist programmer with strong Python OR C++ programming skills who is passionate about game development, team coordination, and working in a collaborative multicultural environment.

Gameplay Team Lead

What will you do?

• Write high-quality, efficient code in Python.

• Contribute to architectural design and code reviews to ensure high-quality and maintainable solutions.

• Proactively address technical issues and risks that could impede project delivery.

• Develop and implement innovative tools or methodologies to streamline development processes and increase efficiency.

• Collaborate closely with the technical director to align technical strategies with project goals and objectives.

• Actively transfer knowledge and skills to less experienced team members to foster growth and development.

What are we looking for?

• 3+ years of professional experience in software development.

• Experience building real-time or performance-sensitive applications using Python or C++.

• Solid understanding of software architecture, algorithms, and design patterns.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, multidisciplinary teams.

• Familiarity with debugging, profiling, and optimization techniques.

• Understanding of client-server game architecture

• Strong communication skills in English language.

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Previous experience in game development, ideally with at least one shipped AAA title.

• Team leadership experience, mentoring, guiding and work allocation.

Work mode

• Hybrid (3 days of work from the office).
