About the Future AI Global leaders program

Mistral AI is launching the first cohort of its 1-year program, featuring a tailored track for recent PhD from universities around the world, showcasing global Education excellence and tailored to cutting edge applications development. This program is designed to master complex AI challenges and bridge the gap between research and real-world impact.

Over one year, you’ll rotate through hands-on projects to develop SOTA models across different modalities such as text, image, and speech in our different offices. You will apply these models across a diverse set of use cases and domains to tackle cutting-edge challenges in physical AI, time series analysis, materials science, cybersecurity and many more.

This program, built for ambitious Phd and aspiring entrepreneurs is offering mentorship, diverse rotations, and the opportunity to collaborate with a global cohort of innovators to solve frontier challenges.

We’re looking for exceptional talent from top universities to join our cohort. As part of the program, you’ll receive mentorship from industry leaders and contribute to projects that redefine what’s possible in AI.

Program Track - Applied Science

• Run pre-training, post-training and deploy state of the art models on clusters with thousands of GPUs.
• Design, train, and deploy state-of-the-art models in specialized fields like time series, edge devices, quantization, cybersecurity, multimodal or robotics.
• Generate and curate data for pre-training and post-training, working on evaluations and making sure the model’s performance beats expectations.
• Develop the necessary tools and frameworks to facilitate data generation, model training, evaluation and deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tackle complex use cases using agents and foundational models
• Manage research projects and communications with client research teams.

About you

• You hold a PhD in a relevant field and have less than 2 years of professional experience.
• You have experience in one or more of the following specialized fields: time series, edge devices, quantization, cybersecurity, multimodal, robotics.
• You are proficient in Python and have experience with large codebases.
• You have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• You are fluent in English.
• You have signs of exceptional value work such as Olympiad medals, papers published at conferences, open-source contributions, or merit-based scholarships.

More technical details

• 1-year program starting in Spring 2026
• Talents from all around the world will be welcomed in our Paris office for their training
• Rotations in our different offices worldwide to work on our different projects through our acceleration program

• Built unique technical expertise on Applied Science and foundational models
• Developed and deployed performant models on highly complex use cases for global leaders
• Shipped entire projects owning a massive scope and exposition
