Job Description
Greater Good Charities is a US-headquartered international nonprofit organisation working across disaster relief, animal welfare, and environmental conservation. We partner with corporations, foundations, and individuals to deliver life-changing impact for people, pets, and the planet.
Position Overview
Greater Good Charities is seeking a Fundraising Associate, Europe to join our growing European team. Based in London, this role is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and securing new donors and partners across the UK and European markets, while supporting the stewardship of an existing portfolio of relationships and supporting other administrative tasks. The Fundraising Associate will engage across three key donor audiences — corporate partners, individual donors, and grant-making foundations — to generate both in-kind and cash contributions in support of GGC's mission across disaster relief, animal welfare, and environmental conservation.
This is a junior-to-mid level role well suited to a motivated fundraising professional with 2–4 years of experience who is eager to grow their career in international charity fundraising. The post reports directly to the Executive Vice President of Global Partnerships and contributes to GGC's department-wide goal of $200M in in-kind donations and $5M in cash contributions annually.
Responsibilities:
1. New Business Development (70%)
Research and identify prospective corporate partners, individual major donors, and grant-making trusts and foundations across the UK and Europe, with a focus on alignment with GGC's programme areas
Build and maintain an active prospect pipeline using tools including ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, and sector databases, ensuring records are kept current in HubSpot CRM
Conduct regular outreach and revenue-driving meetings with prospective donors and partners, targeting 10–15 engagements per week
Develop tailored proposals, pitches, and presentations for each donor audience — adapting messaging to reflect corporate CSR and ESG priorities, foundation grant criteria, or individual philanthropic interests as appropriate
Pursue partnerships and gifts across multiple revenue streams, including in-kind product and service donations, cash grants and sponsorships, cause-related marketing, and employee giving and engagement programmes
Manage the full donor journey from initial outreach through to signed agreement or confirmed gift, ensuring prompt follow-up within 48 hours of every interaction
Represent GGC at UK and European fundraising events, sector conferences, and networking forums to raise the organisation's profile and generate new leads
2. Donor & Partner Stewardship (20%)
Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of existing corporate partners, individual donors, and foundation relationships, serving as their primary point of contact
Develop and maintain individual stewardship plans for all assigned relationships, with a focus on donor retention, satisfaction, and year-on-year growth
Conduct regular check-ins and annual strategic reviews with partners and donors to assess engagement, renew commitments, and identify new areas of collaboration
Deliver high-quality stewardship communications including impact updates, acknowledgements, and tailored recognition that reinforces donor loyalty
3. Reporting & Administration (10%)
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all donor interactions, proposals, and outcomes in HubSpot CRM
Track and report on pipeline health, activity metrics, and revenue progress against annual goals
Support the development of UK and European fundraising materials including pitch decks, one-pagers, and impact reports
Stay informed on trends in UK and European corporate philanthropy, trust and foundation funding, and individual major giving to inform strategy and positioning
