Job Description

Greater Good Charities is a US-headquartered international nonprofit organisation working across disaster relief, animal welfare, and environmental conservation. We partner with corporations, foundations, and individuals to deliver life-changing impact for people, pets, and the planet.

Position Overview

Greater Good Charities is seeking a Fundraising Associate, Europe to join our growing European team. Based in London, this role is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and securing new donors and partners across the UK and European markets, while supporting the stewardship of an existing portfolio of relationships and supporting other administrative tasks. The Fundraising Associate will engage across three key donor audiences — corporate partners, individual donors, and grant-making foundations — to generate both in-kind and cash contributions in support of GGC's mission across disaster relief, animal welfare, and environmental conservation.

This is a junior-to-mid level role well suited to a motivated fundraising professional with 2–4 years of experience who is eager to grow their career in international charity fundraising. The post reports directly to the Executive Vice President of Global Partnerships and contributes to GGC's department-wide goal of $200M in in-kind donations and $5M in cash contributions annually.

Responsibilities:

1. New Business Development (70%)

Research and identify prospective corporate partners, individual major donors, and grant-making trusts and foundations across the UK and Europe, with a focus on alignment with GGC's programme areas

Build and maintain an active prospect pipeline using tools including ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, and sector databases, ensuring records are kept current in HubSpot CRM

Conduct regular outreach and revenue-driving meetings with prospective donors and partners, targeting 10–15 engagements per week

Develop tailored proposals, pitches, and presentations for each donor audience — adapting messaging to reflect corporate CSR and ESG priorities, foundation grant criteria, or individual philanthropic interests as appropriate

Pursue partnerships and gifts across multiple revenue streams, including in-kind product and service donations, cash grants and sponsorships, cause-related marketing, and employee giving and engagement programmes

Manage the full donor journey from initial outreach through to signed agreement or confirmed gift, ensuring prompt follow-up within 48 hours of every interaction

Represent GGC at UK and European fundraising events, sector conferences, and networking forums to raise the organisation's profile and generate new leads

2. Donor & Partner Stewardship (20%)

Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of existing corporate partners, individual donors, and foundation relationships, serving as their primary point of contact

Develop and maintain individual stewardship plans for all assigned relationships, with a focus on donor retention, satisfaction, and year-on-year growth

Conduct regular check-ins and annual strategic reviews with partners and donors to assess engagement, renew commitments, and identify new areas of collaboration

Deliver high-quality stewardship communications including impact updates, acknowledgements, and tailored recognition that reinforces donor loyalty

3. Reporting & Administration (10%)

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all donor interactions, proposals, and outcomes in HubSpot CRM

Track and report on pipeline health, activity metrics, and revenue progress against annual goals

Support the development of UK and European fundraising materials including pitch decks, one-pagers, and impact reports

Stay informed on trends in UK and European corporate philanthropy, trust and foundation funding, and individual major giving to inform strategy and positioning

Performance Metrics

Meeting activity: 10–15 revenue-driving engagements per week

Prospect follow-up: All prospects contacted within 48 hours of initial outreach or meeting

Pipeline management: Active, qualified pipeline maintained and updated in HubSpot at all times

Donor retention: 90%+ retention rate across managed portfolio

Account reviews: Annual strategic review completed for all active relationships

Proposal delivery: Customised proposals submitted within agreed timeframes

Minimum Experience:

2–4 years of experience in fundraising, partnership development, or a related field within the charity, nonprofit, or social impact sector

Experience engaging with at least one of the following donor audiences: corporate partners, trusts and foundations, or individual major donors

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences including senior business leaders and foundation programme officers

Highly organised with the ability to manage a busy pipeline, meet deadlines, and work independently

Proficiency in HubSpot CRM or a comparable fundraising or CRM platform

Commitment to GGC's mission across disaster relief, animal welfare, and environmental conservation

Preferred:

Experience prospecting and securing new donor relationships from cold outreach through to close

Experience with ZoomInfo or similar prospecting tools

Knowledge of cause-related marketing, employee giving, or payroll giving programmes
