Functional Tester (French Speaker)

We are looking for an experienced Functional Tester to join a major banking project. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and quality of systems used across front‑office, back‑office, transactional, and batch environments. This is a hands‑on testing role with strong involvement in project routines and test lifecycle activities.

 

What You’ll Do:

• Define and contribute to the test strategy and test plan.
• Prepare, design, and document functional test cases.
• Execute functional test campaigns, including regression and validation phases.
• Produce clear and structured test reporting, including synthesis of results and defects.
• Participate in daily meetings and project follow‑up sessions.
• Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure alignment on testing scope and progress.

What You Bring:

• Experience testing front‑office and back‑office applications, including transactional and batch processes.
• Solid understanding of functional testing methodologies.
• Experience with testing tools such as ALM, JIRA, Xray.
• Familiarity with API testing tools (SoapUI, Postman, JMeter).
• Knowledge of Agile testing cycles: study, design, preparation, execution, reporting, closure.
• Basic scripting or result‑analysis tools (parsing, log analysis).
• ISTQB Foundation, Test Analyst, or Test Manager certification (highly valued).
• Fluency in French is mandatory. 

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and synthesis capabilities.
• High level of rigor and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities (written and spoken).
• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.

(Hybrid work, with 2/3 days of work in the office in LISBON per week)
