Functional / Scrum Lead – Azure Cloud Migration

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Functional/Scrum Lead to support a complex Azure cloud migration initiative. This role will bridge business and technical teams, ensuring successful delivery through Agile methodologies while maintaining compliance with ITAR regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) as Scrum Lead

Partner with stakeholders to gather, define, and document business and system requirements

Translate functional requirements into actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria

Support Azure cloud migration efforts, ensuring alignment with business objectives

Coordinate testing activities, including test planning, execution, and defect tracking

Ensure compliance with ITAR data regulations and related security controls

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, QA, product, compliance)

Monitor project progress, identify risks, and drive issue resolution

Apply systems thinking to analyze complex processes and dependencies

Required Qualifications

Proven experience as a Functional Lead, Scrum Master, or similar role in complex IT projects

Hands-on experience with Azure cloud migration initiatives

Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)

Experience with requirements gathering and documentation

Solid background in test coordination and execution

Familiarity with ITAR regulations and data handling controls

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working on highly regulated environments (government, defense, aerospace)

Exposure to security and compliance frameworks

Scrum certification (CSM, PSM) or equivalent

Must be a US Citizen (required for ITAR compliance)
