Our Global Product Content team within our Growth organization is focused on building, maintaining and operating fully localized configuration, integrations, reports and Extend applications that meet our customer’s needs in global markets. By delivering a comprehensive catalog of content we enable the opportunity for Workday to serve our more customers effectively, winning more deals, reducing deployment cost and total cost of ownership. We deliver a clear return on investment for the business and help drive our global growth.

About the Role

As a Functional Architect, Office of the CxO (oCxO), you will be instrumental in industrializing deployments. This involves treating the tenant as a product, delivered out-of-the-box to fulfill customer demand for a complete, working system in an expedited timeframe. You will be responsible for defining the functional architecture and evolving deployment approaches, ensuring the comprehensive global design of Workday's product solutions that scale to meet demand.

Leverage your extensive implementation expertise to deliver optimal, out-of-the-box content that satisfies customer requirements across business, compliance, and legal domains.

Collaborate closely with product development and product management throughout the entire software development lifecycle. Serve as the critical liaison between Product & Technology (product development/management) and Workday Services. Ensure configured solutions align with the functional architecture, adhering to Workday Business Process Taxonomy. You’ll leverage AI and emerging technologies to enable greater scale and impact from your functional knowledge.

Primary responsibilities of this role:

• Deliver architectural solutions spanning multiple workday application products.

• Perform the following: understand client business requirements, configure the Workday solution, demonstrate the configurations through the building of prototype configuration, assist the testing of the solution.

• Assist the Integration Consulting team in helping to configure and test integrations between Workday and third-party/custom solutions.

• Understand Workday’s Implementation Methodology

• Mentor functional and integration consultants

• Share product knowledge with other services consultants.

About You

• 10+ years consulting experience including 5+ years in Workday ecosystem as a deployment professional 

• 15+ years of functional experience in HCM or Payroll & Time Management or Financials software solutions or systems

• Skills in strengthening the problem statement to connect value propositions to business drivers

• Business process led / taxonomy design experience

• Experience in managing executive stakeholders 

• Experience working within a distributed team

• Experience in leveraging AI toolsets

Additional Qualifications

• Workday Certification in HCM or Finance

• Strong Project management skills

• Strong understanding of product development lifecycle

• Ability to gain a thorough understanding of Workday concepts as new features are released

• Experience in writing functional and technical specifications. Possesses sound analytical problem-solving and documentation skills. 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
