Functional Analyst - Fund Industry (m/w/d)

 Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and support business processes across investment operations and financial data management.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to structure, manage, and optimize data flows across multiple financial systems.
• Contribute to product and process evolution by helping define functional and technical requirements.
• Work closely with development teams to improve and scale web-based applications, ensuring high performance and usability.
• Participate in system integration initiatives involving Java-based solutions, APIs, and database components.
• Support core banking or financial applications (payments, compliance, client onboarding, reporting, etc.).
• Leverage Java expertise to assess technical feasibility, analyze architecture constraints, and propose system improvements.
• Interpret and process SWIFT messages (MT and MX formats) and related financial messaging standards.
• Utilize SQL, XML, and Jira for data analysis, reporting, and task tracking.
• Serve as a bridge between business and technology teams, ensuring that complex business requirements are translated into clear, actionable technical specifications.

Requirements

• Proven experience in the financial services industry (asset management, investment operations, or banking).
• Strong background in Java development (applications, APIs, integration).
• Solid understanding of banking and financial processes (payments, client onboarding, compliance, reporting).
• Experience in requirement gathering, process mapping, and functional documentation.
• Familiarity with SWIFT messaging standards (MT/MX).
• Proficiency in SQL, XML, and experience with Jira or similar tools.
• Exposure to agile methodologies and collaboration with Product Owners or cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills in French and English.
• Ability to operate effectively in an international and fast-moving environment, coordinating between technical and non-technical teams

• Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Business Analyst within financial services or banking.
• At least 2 years of experience in Java-related application development or system integration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in French and English
