Job Description
Function Owner Engine Diagnostics: For heavy duty diesel and hydrogen engines, responsible to develop ‘Engine Diagnostic Function’. This includes generic service diagnostics, generic OBD requirements, data streaming and system reactions for engine and aftertreatment (left side of V-cycle on system level); Together with a team of technical experts developing and writing down related customer, service and legal requirements for this matter; Setup FMEA, create and execute risk mitigation plan and follow up on necessary actions; Setup plans and follow up on necessary actions for software development, testing, calibration and validation; Take lead in root cause analysis and resolution process of (field) issues and deliver improvement proposal; Create technology roadmap for future projects and Advanced Technology.
Requirements: Master degree in Automotive Technology or Mechanical Engineering More than 5 years of experience in domain knowledge of engine and aftertreatment diagnostics including OBD (development + calibration + validation phase experience) Experience in leading a team of technical experts (presenting, planning, technology roadmap, tech lead, stakeholder management, …) Six Sigma Experience is mandatory i.e. setting up an FMEA, DMAIC, fishbone, boundary and P-diagram DNG and Plato tool knowledge is an advantage Good English skills are mandatory This person has the following competences: Initiative, continues improvement of engine diagnose and OBD; Cooperation, bringing engineers from different disciplines together; Result orientation, Good planning and deliver on time; Analytical capacity, combine information from different sources; Clear communication, verbally, in writing, and presenting on PM level; Perseverance, find solutions where others did not succeed; Working hours: Working Hours – 37 hours per week according to collective agreement Location – Eindhoven area, Netherlands
