About the role:

As a Full-Stack Engineer at Nightfall, you will be responsible for building end-to-end features that empower our customers to protect their most sensitive data. You will work across the entire stack—from crafting intuitive interfaces in React to architecting high-throughput backend services that handle data at scale.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Ownership: Design, develop, and deploy scalable features from the database layer to the user interface.

• System Architecture: Help define and evolve a scalable full-stack architecture, ensuring seamless integration between frontend components and backend microservices.

• Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship to junior engineers and drive best practices across the engineering organization.

• Collaborative Execution: Partner closely with Product and Design to translate complex problem statements into technical specifications and high-quality code.

• Performance & Reliability: Optimize application performance and ensure the reliability of our data protection platform through rigorous testing and observability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience building and maintaining production-grade web applications.

• Frontend Expertise: Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern CSS frameworks (like Tailwind).

• Backend Expertise: Deep experience with server-side languages—specifically Go or Python—and building RESTful or GraphQL APIs.

• Data Modeling: Solid understanding of both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, Redis, or PostgreSQL).

• Infrastructure: Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and a working knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS.

• Testing: Commitment to quality through unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; a collaborative spirit and a "team-first" mentality.

• Browser Extension: Experience building browser extensions (Chrome, Firefox or Safari) is a plus.

Employee compensation will be determined based on interview performance, level of experience, specialization of skills, and market rate.
