About the Role

At Chapa, we’re not just building APIs — we’re creating tools that power real businesses and teams across Africa. From the merchant dashboard to internal control panels, we need a fullstack engineer who thrives in Laravel on the backend and enjoys crafting clean interfaces with Vue or React on the frontend.

You’ll work closely with product, support, compliance, and engineering teams to build features that improve business visibility, streamline support, and help our internal team move faster.

What You’ll Do

• Write backend logic using Laravel (queues, jobs, policies, events, notifications).

• Build and maintain frontend components in Vue 3 or React for real-time, data-rich dashboards.

• Implement permissions, roles, and multi-tenant logic for various users (merchants, agents, support).

• Optimize UI/UX for speed, clarity, and simplicity — even under high transaction loads.

• Collaborate across product, support, and design to continuously improve tools and workflows.

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of experience with Laravel (Eloquent, migrations, Horizon, API Resources).

• Strong SQL knowledge (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and experience optimizing queries.

• Solid understanding of frontend development with Vue.js (Composition API) or React.

• Familiarity with Tailwind CSS, RESTful API design, and basic frontend state management.

• Comfortable with Git, CI/CD, and environments like Forge, Vapor, or ECS.
