We are excited to announce that we have launched our Capital Markets Accounting Advisory (CMAA) team in Madrid. Our CMAA team is lead by a highly established Managing Director and is an integrated part of our established and highly successful global TAG practice

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented full-time intern to join our Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Services team at Alvarez & Marsal Spain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and previous experience in the field will be a must. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment and to work alongside seasoned professionals.

How you will contribute:

Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and technical accounting inquiries, develop journal entries…
Support the team in various accounting advisory projects, including financial reporting, and compliance.
Participate in the development of reports and presentations for clients.
Conduct research and analysis to support client engagements and internal initiatives.
Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements.

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Previous experience in accounting or finance is highly desirable.
Full time
Immediate availability to start the internship is required.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
