Job Title: Full-Time Faculty – English Foundation Program Instructor

Classification: Faculty (Institutional Support)
Reports To: Dean, School of Arts and Sciences
Location: Kuwait City, Kuwait

Job Purpose
American International University (AIU) is seeking a full-time English Foundation Program Instructor for immediate start in the 2025–2026 academic year. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality English instruction, support student learning, and contribute to AIU’s mission of fostering academic excellence and student success in a diverse and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Teach a full-time faculty course load in the English Foundation Program
• Prepare and deliver lessons that build students’ reading, writing, speaking, and listening proficiency
• Provide mentorship, feedback, and academic advising to students
• Contribute to curriculum design and ongoing program improvement
• Participate in departmental meetings, faculty development, and university-wide initiatives
• Promote student engagement and academic integrity across the program

Required Skills and Qualifications
• Strong communication and instructional skills in English (language of instruction is English)
• Demonstrated ability to teach English for academic and general purposes
• Commitment to student learning, engagement, and development
• Ability to collaborate with diverse faculty and student populations
• Proficiency in instructional technology and learning management systems

Education and Experience
• Master’s degree or higher in English, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a closely related field preferred
• University-level teaching experience preferred
• Industry or practical experience related to language instruction advantageous
