About Mural Group

Mural Group is hiring a Senior and Staff Software Engineer to work with our partners - Seed to Series B companies across industries like fintech, healthtech, AI/ML, developer tools, and marketplaces.

What We're Looking For:

While each client has specific needs, we're generally seeking engineers who are:

• Experienced builders – You've shipped production software at scale and are comfortable across the stack or deeply specialized in backend or infrastructure.

• Product-minded – You think beyond the code and care deeply about how your work impacts end users.

• Startup-proven or startup-ready – You’re comfortable with ambiguity, quick iteration, and wearing multiple hats.

• Autonomous with a bias for action – You take initiative and move fast without waiting on permission.

• Strong communicators – You’re collaborative and thoughtful, especially in remote, async-first environments.

Example Projects You May Work On

Depending on the client and team, you might:

• Architect and deploy systems from the ground up using serverless, containerized, or cloud-native frameworks (AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, etc.)

• Build AI-powered features, such as personalized interview coaching tools, skills matrices, or generative assistants powered by LLMs

• Create complex data pipelines and integrations in domains like fintech, logistics, or healthcare

• Improve developer experience through clean CI/CD pipelines, observability tooling, or dev infrastructure

• Own full-stack product delivery alongside product and design—rapid prototyping through to scale

Typical Tech Stacks

Each client is different, but we frequently look for engineers comfortable with some of the following:

• Languages & Frameworks: TypeScript, Python, Go, Node.js, React, Next.js, Django, FastAPI, Java

• Cloud & DevOps: AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform

• Data & AI: Postgres, Redis, Kafka, Snowflake, LangChain, vector DBs, OpenAI APIs

• Tooling: GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Datadog, Sentry, Vercel

Compensation: Each client has a different pay range, but we generally see base salary ranges in the $140 - 215k range with equity.
