Full Stack Software Engineer- Cleared

Quest Defense Systems and Solutions is seeking a highly experienced and self-motivated Full Stack Software Engineer to support development and enhancements to the VSPA web-based engineering tool in our customer-facing environment. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications that support model-based engineering workflows and digital thread integration.

This position requires on-site presence in East Hartford, CT and US Citizenship. Due to the nature of this role, the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret-level US DoD clearance is also necessary.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications supporting engineering analysis workflows

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs for integration with MBSE and modeling tools

• Develop responsive front-end interfaces (React, Vue, or similar frameworks)

• Implement backend services using Python (Django) or Node.js/Express

• Collaborate with MBSE engineers to translate system modeling needs into functional software features

• Participate in Agile development cycles, sprint planning, and code reviews

• Ensure code quality, scalability, and maintainability

• Troubleshoot and resolve performance or integration issues

• Support deployment and testing in a secure customer environment

• Close collaboration with MBSE engineers and customer stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience

• Strong experience in full-stack web development

• Front-end experience with React, Vue, or similar modern frameworks

• Backend development experience using Django or Node.js/Express

• Experience developing RESTful APIs

• Experience working in collaborative, Agile environments

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to work onsite in East Hartford, CT

• US Citizen

• Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance (preferred but not required at start)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting engineering or technical software tools

• Exposure to MBSE environments (Cameo, SysML, digital thread concepts)

• Experience integrating software tools within enterprise engineering ecosystems

• Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance (preferred but not required at start)

• Experience working in aerospace or defense environments

Full compensation package is based on candidate experience and certifications

Pay Ranges
$120,000—$140,000 USD
