Metro Global Solution Center (MGSC) is internal solution partner for METRO, a €31.6 Billion international wholesaler with operations in more than 30 countries. The store network comprises a total of 623 stores in 21 countries, of which 522 offer out-of-store delivery (OOS), and 94 dedicated depots. In 12 countries, METRO runs only the delivery business by its delivery companies (Food Service Distribution, FSD).

HoReCa and Traders are core customer groups of METRO. The HoReCa section includes hotels, restaurants, catering companies as well as bars, cafés and canteen operators. The Traders section includes small grocery stores and kiosks. The majority of all customer groups are small and medium-sized enterprises as well as sole traders. METRO helps them manage their business challenges more effectively.

MGSC, location wise is present in Pune (India), Düsseldorf (Germany) and Szczecin (Poland). How you will make an impact? 

We are seeking a proactive and collaborative Fullstack Developer with strong experience in Next.js, React, and Node.js, and a solid understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. You will be responsible for building scalable web applications and deploying them efficiently on GCP infrastructure, while actively contributing ideas to improve our product and development processes.

Your Responsibilities: 

• Involved in all phases of software engineering, from inception to coding, testing, delivery and operation.
• Develop high quality code that follows best practices and clean code principles.
• Collaborate with UX designer and support with various pre-development needs, when necessary.
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following best practices.

What you won't do:

• Wait for someone to tell you what to do;
• Shy away from discussions about the best solution for a problem at hand, every opinion counts and your impact matters!

Required key competencies and qualifications:

• Minimum, 8+ years of overall experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Sitecore development, including Sitecore XP, Sitecore MVC, and Sitecore XM Cloud.
• 3+ years of experience with Next.js and React.js.
• Strong knowledge of .NET, C#, and microservice architecture.
• Proficiency in SQL Server, T-SQL, and Entity Framework.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, SOAP, and Web Services.
• Familiarity with GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of headless CMS, JAMstack, and Sitecore JSS.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ensure best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation.
• Actively participate in team discussions, bringing new ideas and perspectives to drive product growth and innovation.
• Foster a positive team culture through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and mentorship.
