Full Stack Engineer - Test Experience Engineering

The Test Experience squad manages the test infrastructure and tooling that underpin Spotify’s client platforms. Our mission is to provide a reliable, consistent, and efficient testing ecosystem that enables client engineers to validate their code with confidence and ship high-quality products. We’re continually evolving our systems to improve developer experience, reliability, and automation through well-designed services, tooling, documentation, and support.

We are seeking a platform generalist with Full Stack & Data experience to join our Test Experience squad. In this role, you will leverage your curiosity and adaptability to build test infrastructure for Spotify clients. This includes test frameworks for (Android, iOS, C++, Web), data pipelines, backend services and Backstage plugins.

What You'll Do :
Shape and drive the technical roadmap of our test infrastructure environment Improve testing practices across the Spotify ecosystem Support engineers across Spotify to drive test automation and help remediate debugging failures

Who You Are :
Proficient in Java backend services, preferably using Apollo with PostgreSQL databases. Proficient in web test tooling, preferably using Mocha, React, and WebdriverIO. Proficient in data engineering, preferably using Scala and Scio. Comfortable completing tasks in different domains and codebases (Android, iOS, C++, Web, Bash, Python, etc).Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles. Experienced with writing and maintaining automated tests. Familiar with designing scalable and maintainable testing systems and infrastructure. An understanding of CI pipelines and infrastructure tools like Bazel and Git is valued.

Where You'll Be :
This role is based in London or Stockholm We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
