About You
You are a self-directed Full Stack Engineer with strong expertise in Python and Vue.js. You take ownership, move quickly, and don’t wait to be unblocked, you proactively identify issues, propose solutions, and drive execution forward.
You are comfortable working in fast-paced, high-expectation environments, contributing from day one while collaborating with distributed teams. You bring a strong sense of autonomy, accountability, and clear communication.
This role offers two complementary tracks: Backend-focused or Frontend-focused, depending on your strengths.
Note: This position is offered under a contractor model for an initial period of 3 months, with extension potential.
You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies:
• 6+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in Python (backend track) or Vue.js (frontend track).
• Strong experience with TypeScript across frontend and backend contexts.
• Experience working in cloud-native or serverless environments.
• Experience designing and consuming APIs and machine-to-machine integrations.
• Ability to work autonomously within established frameworks without the need for close supervision.
• Proactive communication skills, with the ability to identify blockers and propose solutions early.
• Advanced English proficiency, working with distributed teams and stakeholders.
Backend-focused (preferred experience):
• Strong production experience with Python for APIs, services, and AWS Lambda.
• Working knowledge of Vue.js to contribute to frontend tasks as needed.
Frontend-focused (preferred experience):
• Strong production experience with Vue.js, TypeScript, and modern UI development.
• Solid CSS skills including responsive design and component-based styling.
• Working knowledge of Python to support backend tasks when required.
Nice to have:
• Experience with AWS Lambda, Serverless Framework, or SAM.
• Experience with Auth0 or Cognito.
• Experience with WebSockets or real-time communication.
• Experience with E2E testing frameworks such as Selenium.
• Knowledge of frontend security best practices (XSS, injection prevention).
You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities:
• Deliver features aligned with the team backlog from day one.
• Own delivery within your primary stack (backend services/APIs or frontend UI/dashboard).
• Contribute to cross-stack tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with the Tech Lead on architecture-aligned decisions.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality standards.
• Proactively identify and communicate blockers, risks, and dependencies.
• 6+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in Python or Vue.js
• Experience in cloud-native or serverless environments.
• Advanced English proficiency
