Job Description
Build open-source AI tooling used by thousands of developers and have your code shipped, reviewed, and visible in a fast-growing public GitHub repository.
This role lets you contribute directly to a widely adopted open-source toolkit for AI agents and copilots that powers real products in production, not demos.
The project has 20k+ GitHub stars, tens of thousands of weekly installs, and millions of AI interactions, and sits at the center of how modern AI agents are integrated into user-facing applications.
The Role
You’ll work as a Remote Full-Stack Engineer focused on open-source contribution, building core features across Node.js, TypeScript, and Next.js. Your work will be public, production-used, and part of a fast-moving developer ecosystem.
You’ll collaborate with a small senior team and a global open-source community, shaping APIs, abstractions, and developer experience for AI agent tooling.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain open-source full-stack features (Node.js, TypeScript, Next.js)
- Contribute directly to a public GitHub repository used in production
- Design clean APIs and abstractions for AI agent integration
- Improve developer experience through code, examples, and docs
- Collaborate via PRs, reviews, and issues with maintainers and contributors
Must Have Experience
- Strong Node.js and TypeScript / JavaScript experience
- Solid Next.js and full-stack development background
- Comfort working in open-source workflows
- High code quality and strong async communication
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI agents or LLM tooling
- Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, or infrastructure-as-code
- Prior open-source contributions
Why This Role
- Your code is public and visible to thousands of developers
- Work on real AI infrastructure, not internal tools
- Build long-term open-source credibility
- Fully remote, high-autonomy environment
- Help shape how AI agents are built and used in real products
