The AI/ML – Investment Services team at Point72 spearheads the development of cutting-edge AI solutions that seek to transform our business processes and enhance enterprise intelligence. What you’ll do

• Design, develop, and maintain the front-end of GenAI applications deployed across Point72’s investment services functions

• Drive the continuous improvement and creation of platforms, utilizing the latest technologies and software development methodologies

• Foster close working relationships with other internal technology teams to advance cross-team initiatives and promote best practices in UI development

• Ensure the scalability and performance of front-end components to handle growing user demands and data volumes

• Conduct code reviews to uphold coding standards and foster a culture that prioritizes quality and innovation

• Implement robust testing strategies, including unit and integration tests, to ensure the reliability and stability of the user interface

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for front-end components to aid in knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members

What’s required

• 5+ years of experience in UI development, with a strong understanding of TypeScript and JavaScript

• Proficiency in modern UI frameworks such as React and Angular, and modern Node.js

• Knowledgeable in REST API integration and version control systems like GitHub

• Expertise in Test-Driven Development (TDD), with experience in unit testing and e2e test suites using tools like Protractor

• Experience with task runners and build automation tools, such as Webpack, Browserify, and/or Gulp, for production environments

• Familiarity with design tools like Figma and third party grid/charting tools, such as ag-grid and/or Highcharts

• Thorough understanding of asynchronous mechanisms, such as Promises or Observables, and creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules

• Extensive knowledge of CSS and JS methods for performant visual effects and validating user actions with responsive feedback

• Experience coordinating with server infrastructure for delivering front-end applications and assets, and understanding platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to guide discussions and provide technical guidance
