Full Stack Engineer

About the role:
We’re looking for a Frontend-focused Full-Stack Engineer who will take end-to-end ownership of the two products our partners use every day:• Partner Portal – a web app where restaurant managers manage menus, orders, and performance.
• LANCH OS – our internal operating system for growth, logistics, and brand ops.

As one of the first engineers on the team, you will define frontend architecture, shape our FastAPI/SQLModel backend, and ship features that land in production weekly. You’ll collaborate closely with product, data, ops, and our partner restaurants to turn complex operational workflows into elegant, intuitive user experiences.

Key Responsibilities• Lead development of new Partner Portal and LANCH OS features using React, TypeScript, and modern state-management patterns and build on the first AI first operating system in the F&B Sector.
• Build and consume our internal FastAPI + PostgreSQL APIs to ensure type-safe, performant data flows.
• Build reusable UI components, design systems, and testing frameworks that scale across brands and geographies.
• Own the full software lifecycle - ideation, technical design, implementation, CI/CD, release, and observability - on GCP.
• Independently drive day-to-day UI/UX design and team up with external designers on larger feature launches to deliver pixel-perfect, accessible interfaces.
• Pair with backend and data engineers to optimize queries, automate partner invoicing, and integrate third-party delivery platforms.
• Set the bar for code quality, documentation, and engineering best practices as we grow the team.

LANCH, the fastest-growing consumer company in DACH, is seeking a talented and motivated Fullstack Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Founded in 2023 and headquartered in Berlin, LANCH partners with restaurants and top creators to launch delivery-first food brands such as Happy Slice pizza, Loco Chicken, and the new Korean-style Koco Chicken. Beyond virtual kitchens, we are rolling out a network of physical restaurants and retail brands (“Happy Chips”, “Loco Tortillas”) that already reach thousands of supermarkets. Backed by +€30 million in Series A funding (Feb 2025), our Tech & Data team is building the platforms - LANCH OS and the Partner Portal - that power everything from menu management to supply-chain automation.

About you:
What will make you thrive at LANCH:• 2+ years of hands-on experience shipping customer-facing web apps, with at least one React + TypeScript project owned end-to-end.
• Deep understanding of modern frontend architecture: component composition, state management, and design-system theming.
• Comfortable moving down the stack - able to sketch clean REST/JSON or GraphQL contracts, read and extend Python/FastAPI code, and write pragmatic unit & integration tests.
• Cloud-native mindset: containerised development with Docker, automated CI/CD via GitHub Actions, and production workloads on GCP.
• Quality champion: you automate testing, set up monitoring/alerting, and keep documentation as crisp as your code reviews.
• Product intuition: you enjoy talking to restaurant managers or ops teams, turning fuzzy workflows into elegant UIs that save them stress and manual work.
• Bias for action and ownership: thrive in ambiguity, iterate quickly, and measure impact rather than completeness; you’re happiest when yesterday’s idea is in today’s production deploy.
• Collaborative communicator - fluent in English; conversational German.

• Eager to work mostly on-site in our Berlin Prenzlauer Berg office.
