Overview of Role

As a Full-Stack Engineer (Backend-Heavy), you aren't just building UI; you are the architect of the entire data flow. Your primary focus is building high-throughput, scalable backend+frontend systems in Node.js while ensuring the Typescript+React frontend remains a seamless extension of those services.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust web applications using React for the frontend and Node.js for backend services, all while leveraging the benefits of TypeScript.

• Design, develop, and manage RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints, ensuring type-safe contracts and seamless integration between the front-end and back-end.

• Ensure "end-to-end" type safety—from the database schema to the API layer, and finally into the React components.

• Integrate and manage highly-available NoSQL data stores, specifically leveraging Firestore, to support high-throughput backend services.

• Produce clean, efficient, reusable, and well-documented code that adheres to coding standards and best practices.

• Configure and manage server environments for deployment and collaborate on CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based services (AWS or GCP).

• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or similar academic qualification in IT, Computer Science or related field

• 5+ years of experience in TypeScript, React.js, and Node.js

• Able to write complex utility types and ensure the codebase is strictly typed to prevent runtime errors.

• Deep understanding of NoSQL architectures, particularly with services like Google Firestore, in addition to experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Desirable to have experience with distributed message brokers or event streaming platforms (e.g., Pub/Sub, Kafka).
