Full-Stack Developer with Java & Vue.js - Tietoevry Create (m/f/d)

About the role   

Our client is a global leader in financial services, and this role is part of a key initiative to build and enhance a next-generation wealth management platform used by end customers. 

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer who is a great team player and passionate about the quality of their code and delivered service. In this role, you will be responsible for consistently delivering high quality, scalable solutions. You will have the opportunity to help shape new code development/management and process workflows that are currently being implemented. 

 

Responsibilities 

• Develop backend solutions using Java, Spring/ Spring Boot, focusing on microservices and API development within the US Wealth Management domain 

• Contribute to front-end development using Vue.js and JavaScript where required 

• Perform code reviews with attention to detail and help establish and maintain best practices across the team. 

• Automate key steps in the development pipeline, identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce time-to-market, and support continuous delivery 

• Collaborate with technical system specialists, business system teams, and third-party stakeholders to understand the current environment and help define the future architecture and integration interfaces 

 

Requirements 

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in backend development using Java (Java EE/ Java 17+), Spring/Spring Boot (2+), REST APIs, Microservices, Maven, SQL, GraphQL, and JUnit, with a strong interest in staying up to date with emerging technologies 

• Proven experience building scalable distributed applications deployed in cloud environments (e.g., OpenShift, Azure, Docker) 

• Proficiency in Vue.js, including development and styling of custom reactive components and effective state management implementation 

• Solid understanding of modern web application architectures and front-end frameworks (e.g., Vue, Angular, or React) as well as architectural paradigms such as message-oriented, event-driven, and reactive systems 

• Hands-on experience in the design, development, testing, and troubleshooting of large-scale online and batch applications 

• Strong experience working with RESTful APIs and interface specifications such as Swagger, OpenAPI, and familiarity with SOAP 

• Experience with DevOps toolchains, including Helios and code scanning/security tools (e.g., AquaScan, Snyk, SonarQube) 

• Knowledge of security protocols and mechanisms, such as JWT, OAuth 2.0, and SSL certificates 

 

A significant advantage would be   

• Familiarity with Kafka, MySQL, NoSQL databases, caching technologies, and stored procedures 

• Experience working with or integrating legacy systems, including Mainframe and DB2 

• Exposure to MuleSoft or similar integration platforms 

• Knowledge of Rust and/or Node.js
