Full Stack Developer

Background

We’re full stack developer to join the Regulatory News Service team in Hyderabad. For over 300 years,  the London Stock Exchange has produced detailed market information for companies and investors, technological innovations have transformed this service from a twice-weekly paper publication for the London business community to a continuous flow of electronic information to all the financial markets across the globe.

This role involves full lifecycle Agile development, including requirements analysis, estimation, design, coding, testing, and peer code reviews. You’ll contribute to service improvement initiatives alongside development and support tasks, and coordinate with a range of technology and business partners. The position also requires setting up and running your development environment and supporting ad hoc duties aligned with team goals. Flexibility is important, as release and change management activities may occasionally occur outside standard regular working hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance the RNS product, through delivery of front-end and back-end solutions.
• Develop and maintain front-end features using Angular (v12+), ensuring alignment with UX and product requirements.
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle using tools such as Jira, GitLab, Bitbucket, and Jenkins.
• Support production releases and change management activities, occasionally outside regular working hours.
• Supporting diagnosis and resolution of production issues as needed
• Willingness to learn and develop using multiple programming languages.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Business level proficiency in the English language – written and verbal
• Several years of experience delivering enterprise level application user interfaces.
• Strong proficiency in Angular (v12+), TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, SCSS, and RxJS.
• Experience with Redux/NGRX/Signal Store for state management.
• Experience delivering server side software using Java or C#.
• Experience and understanding of OO, MVC, REST.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Jasmine and Karma.
• Comfortable working in Agile environments with multi-functional teams.
• Superb communication and interpersonal skills.

Optional, preferred skills

• Exposure to Storybook for UI component development.
• Good knowledge of relational and/or nosql databases (PostgreSQL & DynamoDB experience is advantageous)
• A good working knowledge of other AWS cloud services (DynamoDB, Redis, CloudFront, etc)
• Experience with Docker and, or other Container tooling (Kubernetes, Anthos, AWS ECTS)
• Knowledge and experience designing and coding with AWS Lambda & API gateway

Other Notes

The team currently operates in a hybrid environment with at least one day per week in the office.  When working remotely you must have access to a suitable location with good network connectivity. During the ramp-up period or as projects require, more frequent presence in the office may be necessary.
