Full Stack/Backend Developer
Job context:
We are an online sports betting affiliate, focusing on football, horse racing, greyhounds, American sports and more. The company operates a number of websites, along with associated social media accounts and mobile apps. The business employs approximately 25 permanent staff and also hires freelancers and contractors. The business has expanded rapidly since being founded five years ago, and now includes a full time development team who work on both websites. Collectively the websites receive over 2 million users per month - a great platform to showcase your work!

Job purpose:
Working within our development team, the role will be responsible for continuing the development and improvement of our websites, APIs and associated products. Assisting with coding, testing and deployment, the role will play a critical part in the future development of the company and its online presence.
Accountabilities:
·Developing company websites and key products
·Assisting with UX and product design
·Aiding other members of the development team
·Ensuring products are tested thoroughly before deployment
·Ensuring products are coded efficiently and correctly
·Assisting with improvements to the structure and processes of the development team
·Work to develop briefs into developed products in the most efficient and optimal methods
·Consider web security best practices at all times
Skills and attributes:
Essential
?Coding skills: HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript
?Experience with (Wordpress) CMS, APIs, Git source control
?Ability to work as part of a team
?Exceptional attention to detail
?Excellent written and verbal communication skills
?Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
?Ability to problem solve and think logically
Desirable
?Coding skills: SQL, knowledge of Agile/Scrum, ES2015+
?Knowledge and application of web security best practices
?Keen interest in horseracing, football, or any other sport
?Experience with or an interest in sports betting
?Relevant university degree
