The Front End Engineer creates intuitive UIs on top of API-driven backends enabling AHEAD’s business workflows. You’ll own delivery using TypeScript, React, and Next.js, collaborating closely with backend, QA, product, and AI teams to build reliable features with strong UX, accessibility, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain web frontends using Next.js (React + TypeScript).
• Integrate frontend components with FastAPI or RESTful backend services and collaborate on API contracts.
• Implement state management, routing, async data fetching, and error handling.
• Ensure UI consistency, accessibility, and responsive design across devices; apply design system components.
• Write unit tests and participate in code reviews; integrate test suites into CI with GitHub Actions.
• Optimize performance (bundle size, caching, SSR/ISR) and UX reliability.
• Partner with design and AI teams to build interactive, intelligent UI experiences.

Education & Experience:
• Minimum Required – Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years building production-grade React/Next.js applications.

Skills Required:
• Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Next.js (SSR/ISR, routing).
• Familiarity with REST APIs and async data handling; solid component design and state management.
• Experience with CI/CD using GitHub Actions and containerized environments; basic Kubernetes/Helm exposure.
• Strong grounding in OOP and testing best practices; exposure to TDD/BDD is a plus.
• Experience visualizing AI outputs or vector search results is a plus.
