The team you work with uses technology with purpose, reason, and logic. They don't jump on every new bandwagon or complicate things unnecessarily. They start with the basics and are keen to explore the cutting-edge. 

In other words, they’re proficient in React, TypeScript, or Svelte, but work extensively on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You'll join a platform team that empowers our Service Squads with experimentation capabilities. As one of the Growth Engineers, you'll be a developer with Frontend chops, crafting experiments and the tools to build them. We're scouting for someone with ideally over 4 years of Frontend development experience. The more, the merrier, as it means more time to hone your problem-solving skills.

WHAT'S YOUR TICKET TO SUCCESS WITH US?

• We're searching for a Frontend developer with 4 years of experience (preferably), who thrives in an agile environment and isn't fazed by any framework or tool. Degrees and diplomas take a back seat to hard work and tangible results.
• Working directly with the DOM, we value a deep understanding of its construction and operation, including the rendering process in browsers. A strong foundation in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is crucial as they are the bedrock of our work. Keeping abreast of their trends and frameworks is the icing on the cake.
• Web performance and Core Web Vitals are pivotal in our daily operations, so an understanding of a website's loading process and how to speed it up is crucial. Knowing how Google evaluates this aspect is also important.
• Teamwork experience with Git is essential. Being methodical and adhering to a common naming convention and process is key.
• Enjoying teamwork, and being unafraid to seek or offer help when needed is crucial. We operate as a single unit, celebrating successes and learning from mistakes together.
• Managing criticism well, both giving and receiving, is important. We value best practices, continuous improvement, and open, heartfelt communication.
• Most importantly, you should be eager to learn and share your knowledge with others.
• All the above is essential, as it enables us to work the way we do. We know we demand a lot, but we aim high and need people aligned with our goals.

High-level proficiency in React, TypeScript, or Svelte, and extensive experience on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

ALSO, IT WOULD BE IDEAL IF YOU

• Have experience working with Svelte
• Have experience with CDNs and cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure), which would greatly enhance the team's expertise.
• Have dabbled in Growth or Digital Marketing, which is a plus, but not a deal-breaker.
• Are familiar with web analytics tools like Google Analytics or Amplitude, or experimentation tools like Google Tag Manager, Optimize, or VWO. If not, you'll learn them here as we use them daily.
