How you’ll demonstrate Ownership

As a Frontend DevEx Engineer, you’ll play an important role in building and improving the developer experience for our Product engineers. You’ll collaborate with top-tier domain and industry experts: designers, product managers, backend developers, ML engineers, 3D developers, and business leaders. We support one another, ask incisive questions, and give constructive feedback. Our goal is to leverage our diverse strengths and backgrounds to build innovative products, think outside the ordinary, and nurture a truly great culture. We’re seeking a proactive and skilled engineer who is passionate about quality and user satisfaction.

The Impact you bring to Cognite

• Contribute to architectural discussions and the implementation of scalable solutions across a diverse technology landscape, taking ownership of your tasks from concept to deployment.

• Develop and maintain solutions for developers that genuinely help them get their jobs done.

• Build and implement elegant APIs, intuitive user experiences, and the underlying infrastructure.

• Actively contribute to shaping the developer experience in Cognite.

• Work closely with our skilled developers to understand their needs and build products that help them succeed.

Required Qualifications

• You write well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code and actively champion code quality.

• You possess solid knowledge of modern JavaScript and TypeScript, with proven hands-on experience in frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue, or similar component-based architectures).

• Familiarity with CI/CD, build tooling (Webpack, Vite), and testing frameworks is highly valued.

Preferred Experience

• You love making users happy and are committed to creating products they truly want to use.

• You are capable of prioritizing your tasks and working efficiently to optimize your impact on the team’s goals.

• You’re comfortable learning new coding languages and adopting the best tools for the job.
