Job Description

Sofitel Melbourne On Collins is one of Melbourne’s premier luxury hotels. Located in the Paris end of Collins street, the hotel is accessible to all of the major activities of Melbourne.  Whether it be the Australian Open, an AFL match at the MCG, some shopping for luxury items or just close to transportation – trams and trains are just outside the door.

As a Front Office Welcomer (Porter), you provide the initial welcome and the final “au revoir” to our guests, whilst assisting with their luggage and vehicles. We are looking for genuine and passionate hospitality professionals to join our Front Office Team on the Driveway to provide luxury service to our guests.

You will be responsible for:

• Offering a warm welcome and farewell to our guests

• Attending to guest’s requests quickly and efficiently, constantly striving to provide total customer satisfaction.

• Parking and retrieving guest vehicles

• Delivery and collection of guest luggage

• Assisting guests with directions and other enquiries

• Delivering personalised service with passion and professionalism

• Ensuring the highest level of security for guests’ luggage and vehicles

•A full Driver’s licence

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

•Initiate contact and establish rapport easily

•A friendly disposition and the ability to remain calm in high pressure work situations

•Demonstrated versatility and initiative in responding to guest requests and situations
