Front Office / Receptionist

Job Summary:

This job will be based in the Houston, TX. Main duties will be front office and administrative work supporting other departments. This position will deal with internal and external people, visitors, customers, vendors, coworkers, truck drivers, etc. 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Greets clients, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each person's visit and directs or escorts him or her to the appropriate location.

Answers, screens, and directs phone calls to staff; takes messages and schedules appointments.

Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items.

Performs administrative and clerical support tasks.

Performs basic filing and recordkeeping.

Performs other duties such as bathroom cleanup, mail runs, bid runs, data entry.

 Driving will be required and reimbursed per federal mileage.

Office Supply Ordering. 

Maintaining office cleanliness, kitchen, lobby, offices, bathrooms.

Assistance with coordinating special events, meetings, inspections, certifications, team activities, trucking appointments. 

Maintain logs and schedules vehicle for trucking/ dispatch. 

Assist with Company Newsletter.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent verbal communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Valid Driver's License 3 plus years

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

1 year of front desk or administration construction type work experience.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.

Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds at times.

Must be 21 years or older with a valid driver's license.
