Position: Front End Web Developer

Location: Ottawa, Ontario Canada.

Duration: 6 Months +

Job Description for Front End Web Developer:

The person we're looking for will:

• Develop websites ensuring strong optimization and functionality

• Monitor site technical performance

• Work on projects including web layout enhancements, desktop applications, website enhancements, web-based applications, and database-driven websites

• Develop web pages utilizing CSS3 and HTML5 and programming languages including JavaScript and PHP

• Interact with servers using SSH

• Work in a variety of development frameworks including: Wordpress, Drupal, ExpressionEngine, CodeIgniter.

Skills we’d like to see:

• Excellent understanding of major operating systems

• Experience working in OS X

• At least a 2 year degree/diploma in a computer-related field (computer science/programming)

• Strong Knowledge of common programming languages including PHP and Python

• In depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML

• Experience with Expression Engine / Wordpress / Drupal development and available add-ons and plug-ins

• Excellent MySQL database knowledge

• The ability to work individually or in a team to meet tight deadlines
