Description -

We are looking for an experienced Front End Web Developer to join our engineering team in Cambridge. You will be working on the Controller - a web application which manages and reports on our security products. The controller also collects, aggregates, and reports on threat telemetry which HP are in a unique position to collect. You'll be at the forefront of cyber research and intelligence, and you'll be trusted to suggest and investigate then deliver new ideas (see https://www.hpwolf.com/).

What you will do as Front End Web Developer:

• Design and build new user interfaces, as well as maintaining existing ones (ES6, Vue.js, Webpack, D3, Sass)

• Maintain and improve the test infrastructure (Jest, Vue.js)

• Maintain and improve the build systems (Webpack)

• Collaborate with back end developers to steer API design

What it's like         

As part of a small, focused, and talented team you'll get the support to deliver high quality, reliable work & you'll be trusted to suggest, investigate and deliver new ideas. And you will also work on hybrid basis from our office in Cambridge.

Technical requirements for the Front End Web Developer:

• HTML, CSS, JS

• React

• Webpack, Esbuild (or other JS compilers)

• Scss

• Package managers like `yarn` or `npm`

• ESM in Javascript

A great Front End Web Developer will have-

• Experience with long-lived, large-scale front-end projects

• TypeScript

• VueJS

• NextJS

• Creating and publishing custom NPM packages

• Jenkins Pipelines (or similar)

• Python / Django

• AWS

• Knowledge of how to write code in an accessibility friendly way

• Knowledge of web security issues and how to design to avoid them

Our history:

Inspired by the isolation principles of traditional virtualization, our team known then as Bromium, created a game-changing technology called micro-virtualization to protect end users against advanced malware. Every task the user performs, such as opening a document or clicking on a link, is isolated in its own micro-VM, with access to just the resources required for that task, and existing just for the life of the task. Protection is thus provided through isolation, without relying on detection, hence reliably defending the user from polymorphic and even zero-day malware. 

Bromium was acquired by HP Inc on 19 September 2019 forming HP Wolf Security.
