Front End Engineering Intern (Remote)

The Front-End core team, who you will primarily work with, plays a pivotal role in improving, and building, and ideating, the foundational tools we use to build front-end experiences, with React, across our Engineering teams. Our team’s software acts as the building blocks used to compose rich, visually pleasing, and extensible experiences for our engineers and our end-users! What You'll Do:

• Join a team that is focused on creating, improving, and shipping well-factored, well-tested, and fast components for our React applications.

• Build products utilizing Next.js / React, TypeScript - a strongly typed “version” of Javascript, and test libraries such as Jest and Chromatic.

• Participate in code reviews to highlight and suggest improvements.

• Participate in team ceremonies such as standups, scrum, retrospectives, and refinement sessions.

• Work with our team of engineers to develop predominantly front-end focused features.

• Work with other engineering teams inside of ezCater to plan and execute on needed features and improvements.

• Have fun building meaningful software with other kind and smart people.

What You Have:

• A hunger for learning, asking questions, collaboration, and a strong desire to consistently improve in the craft of software engineering - always learning, always improving.

• A friendly, flexible, curious, and pragmatic disposition.

• Required: experience with React JS: many hands-on projects will require some competency with the React framework.

• Required: Experience with fundamental aspects of front-end development - markup (html), style (css/sass), javascript.

• Bonus points if you have experience with any or all of the following: Typescript, and TailwindCSS.

The national hourly compensation range for this position is $38/hour - $45/hour.*
