About the Role

As a Front End Engineer, you will join a frontend sportsbook development team focused on delivering high-quality, scalable web applications. This role sits at the intersection of performance, usability, and modern frontend engineering.

You will work closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to build responsive, high-performance user interfaces using Vue.js or React, contributing directly to the reliability and user experience of customer-facing products.

Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain frontend applications using Vue.js or React
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend developers to translate requirements and user stories into clean, maintainable code
• Build responsive, mobile-first interfaces with strong cross-browser compatibility
• Optimise web applications for speed, scalability, and performance
• Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and contribute to usability improvements
• Write clean, modular, and reusable code with a strong focus on maintainability
• Integrate frontend applications with backend services using REST APIs and GraphQL
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to frontend testing practices
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues efficiently
• Stay up to date with modern frontend technologies, tools, and best practices

Requirements:
• 4+ years of professional experience as a Front End Engineer or similar role
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Hands-on experience with Vue.js and/or React in production environments
• Solid understanding of Node.js and real-time communication technologies such as WebSockets or Server-Sent Events (SSE)
• Experience integrating frontend applications with backend services via REST APIs and GraphQL
• Strong understanding of responsive design and mobile-first development
• Knowledge of web performance optimisation techniques
• Experience using Git or similar version control systems
• Familiarity with state management and architectural patterns such as MVVM, Flux, or Redux

Nice to Have:
• Experience working on high-traffic or consumer-facing web platforms
• Exposure to sportsbook, gaming, or real-time data-driven applications
• Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks and automated testing practices
• Experience contributing to design systems or shared UI component libraries
• Interest in continuously improving frontend performance and developer experience
