Front-End Developer - (OpenUI5/SAP UI5)

About role

We are looking for a skilled Front-End Developer with strong UI/UX design expertise to design and build SAP UI5 applications integrated with microservices and OData services. The ideal candidate combines technical proficiency with a keen eye for user experience and design.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive SAP UI5/OpenUI5 applications following SAP Fiori guidelines.
• Integrate UI5 applications with OData services and RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with backend teams to consume microservices and ensure seamless data flow.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
• Ensure accessibility, usability, and performance optimization of UI components.
• Implement best practices for UI5 Tooling, version control (Git), and testing (QUnit, OPA5).
• Work in an agile environment and participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Requirements:
• MVC architecture, XML/JS views, custom controls, theming.
• JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript.
• OData services, REST APIs, JSON.
• Wireframing, prototyping, user journey mapping, SAP Fiori UX principles.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and modular application design.
• Experience with UI5 Tooling, npm, and build processes.
• Version control (Git) and agile methodologies.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into intuitive user interfaces.
• Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.

Nice-to-have

• Knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
• Experience with CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model).
• Performance tuning for UI5 applications.
• Testing frameworks (QUnit, OPA5).
• Understanding of accessibility standards.
