Position Overview:
Ensuring the department runs smoothly when the Front Desk Manager is away. You will be working as a Front Desk Agent with additional supervisory duties.
This will include supporting the team to ensure guest experience is consistent with the hotel values and providing support to the management team as needed.
You will lead by example and ensure that team members complete their daily tasks safely, treat other team members with respect and ensure guests are provided with friendly, knowledgeable service.
You must be prepared to work any shift as needed (Morning, Afternoon, Night Audit) as well as support other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Experience:
Address complaints and specific customer requests.
Answering questions about the destination, property and amenities
Ensuring customer oriented and friendly service all the time.
Register arriving guests
Provide information on hotel facilities and local points of interest
Provide guest services (concierge), baggage handling as required.
Process check-outs.
Process telephone calls, e-mail and reservations from all sources.
Operational Support:
Assist with group reservations.
Monitor, stock and submit requests for office supplies to Manager.
Assisting front desk staff as needed with guest issues, discounts, front desk procedures etc.
Liaise with and maintain good communications with all departments
Other related duties as assigned by your manager within the scope of hotel operations
Supervision and Team Support:
Training, coaching and performance evaluations of front desk agents as required with respect to job duties, health and safety, hotel policies and procedures.
Coordinate and review work of Front Desk Agents as required.
Available to work morning, evenings & overnights as needed at the front desk
Arranging cover & working front desk shifts when staff call in sick, including night audit when the Front Desk Manager is not available
Supervise a team of up to 6 people
Assist with training, coaching and performance evaluations of front desk agents as required.
Health and Safety:
Ensure that all Occupational Health & Safety policies and training are followed.
Financial : Complete cash summary and submission each shift.
