Front Desk Receptionist/Medical Assistant – Spanish Speaking - Temp to Hire

Are you warm, welcoming, and passionate about helping patients feel cared for from the very first moment they walk in? Our busy Noninvasive Vascular Laboratory is looking for a compassionate and professional Front Desk Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join our supportive team.

In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for our patients—greeting them with kindness, collecting co-pays, answering questions, and helping create a calm, reassuring environment. We’re looking for someone who enjoys making a positive difference in each patient’s experience.

What You’ll Do:

Welcome and check in/check out patients with professionalism and warmth

Collect co-pays and assist with general inquiries

Provide reassurance and support in stressful or emotional situations

Verify medical insurance and obtain necessary procedure authorizations

Schedule patient appointments with accuracy and care

Use an Electronic Medical Record system (Athena, Epic, or similar)

What We’re Looking For:

At least 2 years of front desk experience in a medical setting

Strong understanding of insurance verification and procedure authorizations

Appointment scheduling experience

Experience with EMR systems (Athena or Epic preferred)

Bilingual English/Spanish required

Friendly, calm, and patient-centered communication style

Ability to travel to satellite locations (Hayward and San Ramon) as needed

Medical Assistant Experience is a plus

Schedule & Compensation

Full-time: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Rare overtime as needed

Expected: 40 hours per week
