Baldwin Paving Company, Inc. is currently seeking a Front Desk Receptionist in our Marietta, GA main office.  This is a full time, hourly position reporting to the Director of Human Resources. THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION.  The work hours are Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The receptionist will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to the appropriate person, opening and distributing mail/packages, and providing general office support with a variety of clerical duties and related tasks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Answers phone and directs caller to the appropriate person, after asking questions and probing to ensure the caller is sent to the right person.

Greets and directs visitors to the company; calls the Baldwin employee to let them know they have a guest and from which company the guest is representing and what is the nature of their visit.

Takes and retrieves messages if needed.

Provides callers with information such as company address, directions, fax numbers and other related information.

Receives, date stamps, sorts, and distributes incoming mail and packages.

Prepares outgoing mail and FedEx packages.

Operates copier, Pitney Bowes mail machine, and other office equipment.

Completes clerical duties as assigned.

Assists the HR Department with taking new hire photos and copying ID documents, sending new hire information to the Hiring Coordinator.

Assists the Accounting Department with organizing paperwork.

Sends out birthday cards weekly or biweekly to employees with birthdays that month from list provided.

Other duties as assigned/needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in a clerical office setting. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by any applicant.  This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing and walking the building (including stairs) is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and walk, bend or stand as necessary.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma

3 years of office/receptionist/front desk experience or equivalent/similar experience
