French Reading Interventionist

Full-time, 10- month positions
Start Date: August 4, 2026
The French Reading Interventionist will coordinate the French reading and intervention programs, including but not limited to: assessment and progress monitoring, data collection and analysis, and creation of improvement plans. This position will also provide direct support to students via small groups or push-in support. This person will also facilitate training or professional development for the K-5 French team
Status of Position
This is a full-time position with Académie Lafayette. This is an exempt position pursuant to the U.S. Department of Labor.
Reporting
The French Reading Interventionist reports to their campus/building principal.
Responsibilities
Provide research-based direct instruction in small intervention groups
Participate in ongoing professional development in reading instruction
Assist building principal in coordination of school assessment and intervention plans
Provide support to grade level teachers in strategies to support at-risk students
Work collaboratively with the building team to provide parent support and education
Maintain, analyze and disseminate student data
Create and maintain improvement plans
Collaborate with district intervention team and leadership
Participate in district staff development committee
Other responsibilities as assigned by principal
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in French, elementary education or related field
Hold or be eligible for a Missouri teaching certificate or certificate in home country
Proven experience as a teacher
Other Requirements
Must pass a state and federal fingerprint background check through MACHS.
Must be registered or get registered with the Family Care Safety Registry.
