We are seeking a detail-oriented and execution-focused Freight Coordinator to support transportation operations in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of shipments, ensuring freight moves efficiently from origin to destination using our broker network, internal ERP system, and established processes.
This position is remote eligible after onboarding, with approximately one month of onsite training required.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor ERP systems and internal communications for transportation requests
• Secure truck capacity through an approved broker network based on timing and service requirements
• Manage the full shipment lifecycle from booking through delivery confirmation
• Track shipments in transit and proactively communicate delays, risks, or changes to stakeholders
• Ensure proper receipt of loads and complete shipment records through billing and invoice processing
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of shipments, rates, carriers, and broker activity
• Support lane pricing strategy through recurring RFP processes and periodic quote comparisons
• Solicit competitive quotes for non-RFP lanes to maintain cost efficiency
• Follow company freight procedures, escalation protocols, and documentation standards
• Collaborate with internal teams to align transportation with operational schedules and priorities
• Identify process gaps, cost issues, and service improvement opportunities within the freight network
Core Focus of the Role
• This is an execution-driven role focused on ensuring shipments are properly booked, actively managed in transit, and fully closed out after delivery. Strong ownership and follow-through are critical to prevent gaps in shipment visibility or billing.
Qualifications
• Experience in freight coordination, logistics, transportation, dispatch, or brokerage operations
• Comfortable working in a computer-based environment for extended periods
• Ability to learn and operate within ERP systems and internal tools
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active shipments
• Excellent attention to detail and follow-up discipline
• Clear communication skills with brokers, carriers, drivers, and internal stakeholders
• Ability to evaluate rates and service options while balancing urgency and cost
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with ERP, TMS, or logistics tracking systems
• Familiarity with broker networks, carrier sourcing, and lane pricing strategies
• Experience with freight billing, invoice reconciliation, and shipment closeout
• Background supporting constructn, events, industrial, or project-based operations
Work Arrangement
• Remote eligible after onboarding

Success Profile
• The ideal candidate is process-driven, responsive, and takes full ownership of shipments from request through final billing. They are proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple moving parts while ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
Compensation: $42 K - $48 K
