The primary purpose of this role is to effectively perform all functions related to the receival and despatch of cargo (international & domestic) to ensure that the facility operates effectively and efficiently. This is to be done inline within Pak Fresh Handling’s company policies and procedures (SOP’s).

 

Warehouse Receivals

• Ensure all paperwork is received and matches cargo
• Unload / unpack cargo as required
• Accurately label cargo and cross reference bookings
• Store cargo is designated areas
• Palletise, wrap and cube cargo as required
• Strictly adhere to customs, quarantine, dept of home affairs guidelines. In accordance with Pak Fresh Handlings programs and manuals
• Update systems as required to reflect receival Measure: Regular reviews by the business of team performance

 

Warehouse Despatch & Cargo Handover

• Accurate cargo counts prior to load out or handover
• Pack / load cargo as required (as per bookings)
• Ensure paperwork for all despatching cargo is complete and accurate
• Strictly adhere to customs, quarantine, dept of home affairs guidelines. In accordance with Pak Fresh Handlings programs and manuals
• Palletise, wrap and cube cargo as required
• Ensure all cargo is customs and quarantine cleared prior to despatch and accurately manifested
• Update systems as required to reflect despatch
• Despatch and cargo handover ‘must’ be within designated cut off times (either air or sea)

 

Inventory Control

• Complete and ensure accurate updating of warehouse systems as and when stock changes occur
• Executions of stocktakes as per position procedures
• Maintain accurate paperwork for all cargo and all cargo movements
• Provide inventory reports as required

 

Administration

• Timely and accurate system and paperwork updates to ensure inventory integrity
• Accurate completion of all paperwork in line with position procedures
• Stocktake completion in-line with procedures

 

OH&S Adherence

• Ensure a thorough, working knowledge of all OH&S procedures and guidelines
• Ensure OH&S procedures are strictly followed at all times
• Ensure that appropriate PPE including footwear, headwear and vests are worn at all times
• Ensure that appropriate PPE is worn by any and all visitors to the warehouse
• Immediately report any issues, damages to containers/equipment, near-misses and accidents to the Operations Manager, Branch Manager and/or General Manager

 

Standard Duties

• Treat all Pak Fresh Handling team members with courtesy and respect at all times
• Adhere to conditions of Pak Fresh Handling Confidentiality Agreement
• Adhere to conditions of Pak Fresh Handling Employment Agreement
• Maintain strict confidence in relation to salary details and arrangements
• Comply with Pak Fresh Handling hours of operation or, as agreed to with individual manager
• Adhere to Pak Fresh Handling policies and procedures as outlined in the Pak Fresh Handling Employee handbook.

Essential

• Minimum 3 years warehouse operations experience
• Minimum 3 years forklift experience
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• Strong written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to follow instruction
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent personal presentation and grooming
• Ability to work as a team unit
• Reliability

 

Desired

• Prior experience working in airfreight/shipping industry
• 5 years or more forklift experience
• Strong organisational skills
