Freestanding Emergency Department Registered Nurse (FSED RN)
Ocala, FL
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Schedule Options:
• Days | Rotating Weekends
• Nights | Rotating Weekends
• Mixed Shifts | Rotating Weekends
Hourly Pay Range: $32.00 – $45.90 (based on experience)
Shift Differentials:
• Nights: $4.25/hour
• Weekends: $3.00/hour (Friday 11:00 PM – Sunday 11:00 PM; minimum 4 productive hours)
Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 (Days) | $10,000 (Nights)
Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis
Overview
A high-performing Freestanding Emergency Department in North Central Florida is seeking experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurses (FSED RNs) to join a fast-paced, patient-focused team.
This role supports a 12-bed freestanding emergency department, providing care for patients ranging from minor injuries to acute and critical emergencies. The ideal candidate is adaptable, clinically confident, and thrives in an autonomous emergency care environment.
Responsibilities
• Triage, assess, and treat emergency patients of all ages
• Deliver rapid, high-quality nursing care for a wide range of emergency conditions
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on patient acuity
• Manage multiple patients simultaneously while continuously prioritizing care needs
• Coordinate care with physicians, EMS, and hospital-based departments
• Provide discharge instructions, follow-up education, and referrals as appropriate
• Maintain patient safety, privacy, and documentation standards at all times
• Respond effectively to changing conditions and emergency situations
Required:
• Active Florida RN license or multistate compact RN license
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience
• Med-Surg, PCU, ICU, or Emergency Department experience accepted
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of start
• ACLS (AHA) within 90 days of start
Required Within Designated Timeframes After Hire:
• PALS within 90 days
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) within 6 months
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or TNCC Instructor within 6 months
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 6 months
