Join us for a 1-year paid internship designed to let you apply your classroom learnings to real world challenges.  Our internships have a thoughtful balance of networking, executive speakers, community involvement, big meaty projects (no paper filing here!) and fun!

We are looking for university students to join HP’s Fraud Prevention Team as part-time interns during their academic studies. The intern will support fraud detection efforts and contribute to the enhancement of reporting tools and automation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a subject matter expert for the Stores.

• Identify and analyze fraud trends to mitigate operational impact.

• Communicate with customers to detect and address fraudulent behavior.

• Apply risk-based decision-making in daily operations.

• Adhere to established fraud prevention strategies and procedures.

• Collaborate on projects aimed at improving automation and reporting using tools such as Power BI and SQL.

• Deliver internal training sessions to improve team proficiency in Power BI and SQL.

Education and Experience

• Currently enrolled in a university program with one year remaining until graduation.

• Fields of study: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Economics or Industrial Engineering.

• Basic programming skills (e.g., Python, SQL).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Effective verbal and written communication in English.

• Presentation skills and ability to convey technical concepts clearly.

• Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills.

• Proactive and capable of managing multiple tasks.

• High attention to detail.

• Adaptability and eagerness to learn new tools and processes.

• Ability to adapt and handle ambiguity.
