Frameworks Software Engineer

This role is located in Budapest, Hungary - We are a hybrid work environment and are in the office 3+ days/per week.

About You:

• You are an engineer at heart who finds joy in building the software that other software runs on

• You believe that a platform should be a set of robust, resilient, and intuitive libraries, not just a collection of scripts

• You are excited about software design patterns and know when they are helping or getting in the way

What skills do I need?

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, building complex backend solutions in a SaaS environment

• Expert skills in at least one of Node.js, Typescript, or Go

• Proficiency in relational and nonrelational databases

• Strong understanding of cloud native or cloud hybrid solutions

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to haves

• Familiarity with our other parts of our tech stack - including React, Typescript, Golang, RabbitMQ, MongoDB, Postgres, AWS

• Prior experience developing tools to improve the developer experience

• Experience building CI/CD pipelines

• Previous experience mentoring junior engineers

Key Responsibilities:

• Write and maintain clean, high-quality, efficient and well tested code that aligns with project specifications

• Architect and implement key abstractions that bridge the gap between Software Engineering and DevOps

• Proactively identify pain points in the platform and propose elegant solutions

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering counterparts to build robust and reliable tooling

• Develop and maintain thorough technical documentation for our platform
