Role Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine installation specifications.
Prepare layouts in conformance to internal drawings using measuring tools.
Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of steel.
Trim rough edges from wallboard to maintain even joints.
Safely use various power tools including, but not limited to, drills and saws.
Work collaboratively between departments to ensure efficiency in the build process.
Take direction from Site Foreman on tasks to be completed.
Ensure attention to detail to maintain quality of work.
Perform well under a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision.
Champion General Contractor and RWC safety guidelines and regulations.
Skills & Qualifications:
GED.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work at heights.
Experience operating and working around construction equipment.
Trade school certification (1–2 years) considered an asset.
