About the Role

We’re assembling a new R&D team to develop a wireless link between drones and base stations. As the FPGA Engineer, you will own the design and implementation of the signal processing pipeline on FPGA. You’ll work closely with a hardware engineer and an embedded software engineer to deliver a robust, high-performance system.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement FPGA-based DSP blocks (FFT, FIR, resamplers, decimators).

• Develop and optimize modem algorithms (BPSK, QPSK, QAM, FSK, OFDM, channel estimation, equalization).

• Integrate FEC and interleaving pipelines (LDPC, Turbo) ensuring low-latency performance.

• Implement digital front-end processing (DUC/DDC, frequency translation, AGC control).

• Interface with RF transceivers ensuring deterministic latency and synchronization.

• Develop test benches for reliable DSP and RF chain validation.

• Work hand-in-hand with RF hardware and embedded software teams to guarantee seamless system integration.

• Drive the complete FPGA lifecycle from prototyping to production with focus on robustness.

• Select and qualify target FPGA devices aligned with RF system requirements.

Candidate Requirements

• Educational Background: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• 2–5 years of experience in FPGA development (VHDL, Verilog)

• Solid understanding of digital signal processing (DSP) concepts

• Experience in developing and validating FPGA systems

• Degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field

• Problem-Solving: Ability to work autonomously and solve complex technical challenges.

• Communication & Influence: Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of leading diverse principals – from junior members to senior executives.
