Job Description
About HUD
HUD (YC W25) does RL and evaluations for frontier AI agents. Our HUD agentic RL platform is used by frontier labs, Fortune 500 companies and startups. We have grown revenue and raised funding from YC, A16Z and other leading VCs to scale fast.
About the role
HUD's product sells itself to the right person — the problem is finding them.
Our buyers are ML engineers, AI researchers, and engineering leaders at frontier labs and enterprises. They don't respond to generic SaaS outreach. They respond to someone who understands what they're building, why their current eval pipeline is broken, and how HUD fixes it. Someone who can have a real technical conversation, then follow up relentlessly until the deal closes.
We're looking for a GTM Engineer who can own HUD's go-to-market motion. You'll build the pipeline, run the outreach, and close the meetings — but you'll also build the systems that make this scalable. You know the tools: CRMs, sequencing platforms, enrichment APIs, custom scrapers. You can vibe code a scraper in the morning and close a meeting with a VP of Engineering in the afternoon.
The best person for this role understands sales pipelines deeply, picks up new businesses fast, and can articulate what HUD does to a technical buyer within a week of joining. You're not just running playbooks — you're building them.
This is not a “send 500 cold emails and hope” role. It's a “figure out which 50 people to reach, write something that makes them reply, and build a system that does this every week” role.
Responsibilities
• Own HUD's outbound pipeline end-to-end: targeting, enrichment, outreach, follow-up, and meeting booking
• Build and maintain outbound infrastructure — email sequencing, CRM automation, lead scoring, custom tooling
• Develop messaging that resonates with technical buyers (ML engineers, AI researchers, engineering leaders) and iterate on it weekly
• Quickly learn new prospect businesses and industries — understand their pain points, workflows, and why HUD matters to them
• Use AI tools aggressively to 10x your output — vibe code scrapers, automate workflows, build internal tools
• Track pipeline metrics and optimize conversion at every stage
• Work closely with founders to develop and refine HUD's GTM playbook as we scale
• Manage inbound lead qualification and pipeline development alongside outbound
Skills & Experience
• Demonstrated ability to build and run a GTM motion — outbound pipeline, cold outreach, pipeline development — with real, measurable results
• Technical fluency: comfort on the command line, ability to vibe code, and deep familiarity with GTM tooling (CRMs, sequencing platforms, enrichment tools, data scrapers)
• Ability to understand new businesses and technical products very quickly — you can go from “never heard of it” to “can pitch it to an engineer” in days
• Strong written communication — you write outreach that technical people actually respond to
• Relentless follow-up discipline — most deals aren't won on the first touch
• Self-starter who can operate with minimal direction in a fast-paced startup
Strong candidates may also have:
• Experience selling developer tools, infrastructure, or ML/AI products
• History of building outbound systems using tools like Clay, Apollo, or custom automation
• Technical background (CS degree, previous engineering role, or significant side projects)
• Startup experience — you've built something from zero before, or operated in an environment where you had to
• Familiarity with the AI/ML ecosystem — you know what evals are, what RL is, and why researchers care
• Evidence of creative, high-leverage approaches to pipeline generation
We care about demonstrated output over credentials. If you've built and scaled a GTM motion — even a scrappy one — and can show the numbers, we want to talk to you.
Team & Company Details

• Our team: Includes 4 international Olympiad medallists (IOI, ILO, IPhO), serial AI startup founders, and researchers with publications at ICLR, NeurIPS, etc
• Company stage: Tens of millions in venture funding plus strong revenue growth. Scaling profitably and fast to meet demand
Logistics
• Employment: Full-time
• Location: On-site only (for now) — San Francisco Bay Area
• Visa Sponsorship: We provide support for relocation and visas for strong full-time candidates
• Timeline: Rolling applications. Process includes 2 interviews and a 1-week work trial
Unlimited access to tokens
• You will have unlimited access* to API credits for leading providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Cursor, etc.
*By unlimited, we mean no one on our token usage leaderboard has ever hit a limit. So we have no idea what the limit is.
Due to high volume, we may not actively respond to every application, but feel free to contact us at [email protected] or elsewhere if we missed your application.
If you want, I can also quickly give you a YC Work at a Startup–optimized version (slightly shorter + tuned for applicants) — it tends to convert better for GTM roles.
