Founding Engineer – AI Orchestration Specialist

Be 1Sphere's AI orchestration expert. You'll experiment deeply with Claude Code, build reusable AI patterns, and shape our core orchestration architecture. Rapid learning, competitive compensation, meaningful equity, and fully covered healthcare.

What You'll Own

Claude Code Mastery Become the team's Claude Code expert through extensive experimentation. Master skills, subagents, tools, and hooks—understand deeply when to apply each pattern and why. Document learnings and share with team and Anthropic.

Orchestrator Architecture Build and refine AI orchestrators as RPC for realtime decisioning. Establish patterns the entire platform uses. Design for latency, error handling, observability, and testing in AI systems.

Experimentation Culture Constantly test Claude Code boundaries, push capabilities, discover what's possible. Create reusable orchestration patterns and templates that accelerate platform development. Be at the frontier.

Your First 90 Days

• Become the team's Claude Code expert through extensive hands-on experimentation

• Build 3-5 production orchestrators demonstrating different patterns (skills vs. subagents vs. tools vs. hooks)

• Create orchestration playbook: when to use which pattern, with working examples and decision trees

• Present weekly learnings to team showing what you discovered about AI orchestration

What We're Looking For

Must Have:

• Hands-on Claude Code experience (actively experimented, not just used Claude chat; can show skills/subagents/tools you've built and articulate trade-offs)

• Systems thinking for AI (understands orchestrators as RPC for realtime decisioning; thinks about latency, error handling, observability, testing)

• Tinkerer mentality (constantly experimenting, pushing boundaries, documenting what works/doesn't; excited to be at frontier of AI orchestration)

Nice to Have:

• Contributed to Claude Code skills or shared orchestration patterns publicly

• Backend engineering experience (understands APIs, async patterns, error handling)

• Experience with other AI orchestration frameworks (LangChain, AutoGPT, CrewAI) for comparison
