FOSTERING PREVENTION PROGRAM MANAGER
Job Category: Fostering Prevention (FP)
Job Status: Full-time, exempt position
Reports to: VP of Family Programs
Responsibilities:
Administrative Leadership & Management
Supervise the FP program
Employee satisfaction within the FP department
Build a sense of team within the department
Supervisory meetings with FP Specialists for support, guidance, evaluation/feedback
Probationary/annual employee evaluations
Identify training & development needs of the team
Staff certification in Motivational Interviewing & Nurturing Parenting Program (NPP)
Monitoring team workload
Assist with home visits/follow up meetings
Ensure proper support & advocacy for parents
Provide trainings for parents
Assist with referrals from referral sources
Accept inter-departmental referrals of FAC
Ensure all requirements of the initial narrative process are followed by FP Specialists
Review & approve documentation completed by Specialists
Occasional travel within KS/MO for Fostering Prevention training/presentations
Attend required trainings & meetings
Create community connections for increased program referrals
Contribute towards agency culture, cultural competency, performance improvement outcomes
Data analysis
Participate in community educational networking opportunities & promote partnerships/sponsorships
Model ethical & professional behavior
Work with all FAC departments so the agency’s efforts to assist families and maintain licensing/contract/COA standards are coordinated for maximum effectiveness
Outcome Planning/PQI
Measurement & effectiveness of the program
Maintain quality improvement process throughout the program, and personnel growth
Regular Client files reviews
Quarterly client audit reviews
Evaluation & implementation of service improvement
Financial Management
Oversee budget with fiscally sound operations
Manage effectively within approved budget, reporting to COO & CFO
Complete month end reports, as required.
Assist with grant planning, tracking & execution
Participate in annual budget planning process
Strategic Planning
Provide input in strategic & operational planning, evaluation and positioning within FAC
Assist with development & implementation of growth strategies for FAC
Qualifications
BA/BS (MA/MS preferred) in social work, psychology, public administration, or a related human services field + 3 years experience in non-profit social service agencies with management experience
Previous
child welfare experience required; 2 years preferred
Previous experience working with at-risk populations
Resourcefulness in setting priorities & creating efficiencies
Organizational & planning skills
Commitment to the principles of support & advocacy for parents/caregivers; personal experience or connection preferred
Work towards positive outcomes, within diverse & dynamic professional teams
Strong verbal & written communication skills
Leadership, team management, interpersonal skills; ability to establish rapport & build trust
Understanding of program development, implementation, evaluation
Flexible, self-starter; multi-tasker, detail-oriented , can meet deadlines
Experience working with marginalized communities with a nuanced understanding of systemic oppressions
Flexibility, adaptability, to fit the needs of a wide range of cultures, people, organizations
Flexibility in work hours for some evening & weekend appointments
